SUNDAO S.R.L. provides services across membership, events and networking, and the Career Accelerator programme.
SunDAO membership provides access to a curated community of 70+ investors, operators, and founders active in frontier tech. Three tiers are available:
Community Member - entry-level access. Includes: 2x Private Investors Speed Dating Events (pitch your startup or join as an investor reviewer); Strategy Session with SunDAO's General Partner; startup spotlight on SunDAO newsletter and media channels; access to the SunDAO Startups Community; member upgrade discount to DAO Member.
DAO Member - everything in Community Member, plus: full member status with voting rights on every deal and governance proposal; access to 1-2 high-profile investment opportunities sourced monthly; optional co-investment participation; access to the SunDAO 70+ investors community; full Due Diligence transparency; monthly investors calls; ability to earn a share of returns by sourcing funded deals.
Corporate Member - everything in DAO Member, plus: option to deploy capital through own legal entity with no platform fees on self-directed investments; SunDAO Intelligence Portal (1,500+ startups, investors and service providers); 3 team member seats; use of SunDAO member logo per brand guidelines; invitations to speak at SunDAO international events; co-hosting rights.
Membership contracts are concluded at a distance within the meaning of OUG no. 34/2014. The right of withdrawal is set out in Section 5.
SunDAO organises the following events, online and in-person:
(a) Private Investors Speed Dating Events - structured sessions connecting startup founders with investors in a focused one-to-one format. Founders present their projects to a curated panel of investors. Investors may also participate as reviewers without pitching a startup.
(b) General Investors and Builders Events and Mixers - open networking events for investors, founders, operators, and ecosystem participants active in blockchain, AI, and frontier tech.
(c) Webinars and Educational Sessions - online and in-person sessions covering venture investing, frontier tech trends, and due diligence methodology. Webinars are informational and do not constitute investment advice.
(d) Community and Investor Calls - regular online calls open to relevant membership tiers, covering deal reviews, market updates, and networking.
Events may require separate registration and, in some cases, a participation fee. SunDAO reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel events with prompt notice to registered participants.
A 3-month venture apprenticeship providing real project experience across four tracks (Engineering, Investment, Marketing, Business Development), mentorship from SunDAO founders, portfolio outputs, a completion certificate, and community network access. The programme is an educational service; participation does not create an employment relationship with SunDAO. Programme fees are paid in instalments as communicated at enrolment.
Open to individuals and organisations who are at least 18 years old, have a genuine interest in frontier technology, comply with applicable securities laws in their jurisdiction, and are not residents of sanctioned countries. Members participating in co-investment opportunities must complete KYC verification as part of the investment process. SunDAO reserves the right to approve or reject applications at its sole discretion.
Event participation is open to registered participants aged 18 or over who agree to the Code of Conduct in Section 8 and complete the required registration. Startup participants represent that information provided about their company is accurate and not misleading. SunDAO reserves the right to refuse or revoke event access at its discretion.
Open to university students, recent graduates, career changers, and professionals seeking structured frontier tech venture experience. Applicants are evaluated on motivation, availability (minimum 10 hours per week), and track fit.
SunDAO processes personal data as data controller in accordance with GDPR. Data subjects have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, exercisable at hello@sundao.ventures. You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority (ANSPDCP) at www.dataprotection.ro.
We process data on the basis of: (a) contract performance - to deliver membership, event, and programme services; (b) legitimate interests - community management and service improvement; (c) legal obligation - AML/KYC where applicable; (d) consent - marketing communications, withdrawable at any time.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Cryptocurrency payments may also be accepted via designated wallets communicated at checkout. Membership fees are billed annually from the date of payment confirmation. Event fees, where applicable, are due at registration. Programme fees are paid in instalments as communicated at enrolment.
In accordance with OUG no. 34/2014 (as amended by GEO no. 18/2026), consumers contracting SunDAO services at a distance have a right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from contract conclusion, without providing a reason, provided that service delivery has not yet commenced with explicit prior consent.
The 14-day right of withdrawal applies where community access has not yet been granted. Once access has been granted and the member onboarded, annual membership fees are non-refundable, pursuant to Art. 16(a) of OUG no. 34/2014 regarding fully performed services commenced with explicit prior consent.
Event fees are non-refundable once the event has taken place. For cancellations notified more than 48 hours before the event, SunDAO may at its discretion offer a credit towards a future event. If SunDAO cancels or materially changes an event, registered participants will receive a full refund or credit at their election.
The 14-day right of withdrawal applies from enrolment, provided the programme has not commenced with explicit prior consent. Once sessions have begun, instalments already paid are non-refundable. Remaining instalments are waived only if SunDAO cancels the programme entirely.
Send a written request to hello@sundao.ventures stating your name, service concerned, purchase date, and reason. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days to the original payment method.
SunDAO brings together some of the most engaged investors and promising founders in frontier tech. Our events and community are designed to create real, meaningful connections. Please read this section carefully to ensure your expectations are well-grounded.
SunDAO is a community platform and does not provide investment advice, portfolio management, or any regulated investment service. Nothing communicated by SunDAO constitutes a recommendation to invest. All investment decisions are made independently by each member. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified financial adviser before making any investment.
We invest significant effort in curating both the startup and investor sides of our community and events to maximise the quality of every interaction. At the same time, participation in any SunDAO membership tier, event, webinar, or programme - including presenting at a Private Investors Speed Dating event - does not constitute a guarantee, representation, or commitment that any investment will be made. Investment decisions are made exclusively by individual investors based on their own independent assessment, criteria, and available capital. Results achieved by other participants do not imply similar results will be achieved by all participants. Early-stage investments in frontier technology carry significant risk, including the potential loss of the entire amount invested.
SunDAO facilitates introductions and creates structured opportunities for founders and investors to connect. The exchange of contact information and any subsequent communication between participants is entirely at the discretion of each individual. SunDAO cannot ensure or require any investor or other participant to respond to communications following an event or introduction. Investors receive a high volume of outreach and may not be in a position to respond to all enquiries - this reflects normal industry practice and does not constitute a shortcoming of SunDAO or the relevant investor.
Information presented by startups, investors, or other participants at SunDAO events, within the community, or in application materials is the sole responsibility of the presenting party. SunDAO does not verify, audit, or endorse claims, projections, or representations made by participants. Members and participants are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence on any company or individual encountered through SunDAO.
Participation in SunDAO services does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between SunDAO and any participant. Career Accelerator participants are programme participants, not employees. SunDAO makes no representation that programme participation guarantees subsequent employment or paid engagement.
All content produced by SunDAO - including the website, deal memos, due diligence reports, event materials, webinar content, and educational resources - is the property of SUNDAO S.R.L. and protected by applicable intellectual property law.
All members, event participants, and programme participants agree to treat others with respect and professionalism; maintain confidentiality of deal information and member communications; provide accurate information in all applications and interactions; not use community channels for unsolicited commercial outreach; not share access credentials with non-members; comply with applicable law including anti-money laundering regulations; and not engage in fraudulent, illegal, harassing, or unethical conduct. Violation may result in removal from the event, suspension, or termination of membership without refund.
To the fullest extent permitted by Romanian law (Civil Code, Arts. 1349-1395): SunDAO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in the 12 months preceding the event; SunDAO is not liable for investment losses, missed opportunities, or decisions based on information or introductions provided through our community or events; SunDAO is not responsible for the conduct or decisions of other community members, event participants, or third parties; SunDAO is not responsible for the operation of third-party platforms including Stripe, Luma, Telegram, or Station X. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Romanian consumer protection law.
We use cookies in accordance with EU law (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended) implemented in Romania. Our website uses GDPR Consent Mode v2; analytics cookies are activated only upon your explicit consent. Cookie preferences may be managed via the banner or your browser settings.
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes shall be resolved first by informal negotiation (hello@sundao.ventures), then, if unresolved, through the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) or the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Legal proceedings shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms and Conditions are drafted in accordance with: (i) the Romanian Civil Code (Law no. 287/2009, republished); (ii) Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 on consumer rights in contracts concluded with professionals, as amended by GEO no. 18/2026; and (iii) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
